The Monthly Cadence is the monthly newsletter of the Dennis Frayne Association for Music Education. Written for busy educators, it provides a regular rhythm of professional learning throughout the year. Each issue may address teaching and learning, musicianship, repertoire, curriculum, studio and school leadership, professional life, educational philosophy, and other questions that arise in the work of music educators, while bringing together practical ideas for lessons, reflections on teaching and learning, Association news, recommended resources, member highlights, upcoming events and programs, and stories that illuminate the people and relationships that strengthen music education.

The Monthly Cadence is included with every Association membership. Teacher Members and Association Sponsor Members receive each issue digitally by email. Endorsed Teachers and Teachers of Teachers also receive a professionally printed edition by mail as part of their membership benefits.

As new issues are published, the growing online archive provides a place to revisit previous articles and follow continuing conversations across the Association.
