The Presto! It’s Music Magic Curriculum

Eligible Teacher Members of The Dennis Frayne Association for Music Education receive access to purchase the Presto! It’s Music Magic curriculum, authored by Dr. Dennis Frayne. The complete curriculum is available exclusively to Teacher Members and is not offered for sale to the general public.

This is an intentional part of the Dennis Frayne Approach. The curriculum was designed to work hand in hand with the educational philosophy, teaching strategies, certification program, and ongoing professional support that surround it. The books themselves are only one part of a much larger educational framework.

Teacher Members learn not only what to teach, but also why concepts are introduced in a particular sequence, how to present them through healthy, student-centered instruction, and how each lesson contributes to the development of comprehensive musicianship. The curriculum, certification, mentorship, and continuing education are designed to function as one integrated system, each strengthening and supporting the others.

For this reason, access to purchase the core Presto! It's Music Magic curriculum is available exclusively to eligible Teacher Members of The Dennis Frayne Association for Music Education. The purpose is not simply to provide instructional materials, but to ensure that teachers receive the professional preparation, educational philosophy, and ongoing support needed to teach the curriculum with confidence, clarity, and fidelity to the Dennis Frayne Approach. In this way, students experience an approach to music education that is thoughtful, connected, healthy, and consistent across a wide variety of teaching settings.

Many other publications and resources, including selected books, sheet music, arrangements, supplementary materials, teaching aids, games, videos, and classroom resources, may also be available to the general public through Presto! It's Music Magic Publishing. The complete instructional curriculum, however, is reserved for eligible Teacher Members as part of their continuing professional growth and participation in the Association.

Materials required for certification courses are included in course tuition. Curriculum and teaching materials intended for use with students are purchased separately as needed, allowing teachers to acquire the resources appropriate for their own studios, classrooms, and teaching situations.

Rather than viewing the curriculum as a collection of books, or even a sequence of method books, we view it as part of a lifelong journey of professional learning. As teachers continue to deepen their musicianship, refine their teaching, and participate in the Association, the curriculum becomes an increasingly effective tool for helping students build lifelong relationships with music.
